I regularly do rides of 150km or more and therefore am always on the lookout for comfortable bibs. An audax friend mentioned this brand to me and so I searched for them online. With the COVID lockdown here allowing cyclists only to ride solo, I ordered these bibs with the intent of doing long solo rides. So far, I've worn them on three rides over 200km each, plus another couple of century rides. I was very happy to feel significantly less chaffing that expected. In fact, they out-perform my current audax kit. These have become my go-to bibs for long distance and I plan to order another pair whenever my current audax bibs reach the end their usefulness.
I have a three year old pair of The Race bib shorts and love them. Probably my favorite bib shorts for fit and comfort. I decided to try The Bib short because I didn't see The Race bib shorts on the website. I first rode indoors with these shorts and could immediately tell the difference from any other shorts because of the extra padding. The bike felt too big for me with the extra height of the padding. Then I lowered my saddle a tiny amount and went on an outdoor ride. No problems and the shorts were very comfortable. A week later I did a three hour indoor ride with The Bib shorts and had no issues. After the ride the sorest part of my body was not my bottom, it was my quads, which is how it should be. I highly recommend these shorts, especially for longer rides, with the caveat that you may need to lower your saddle a skosh to keep the same bike fit.
So I ordered these in the midst of COVID-19, I was frustrated about how long they took I did not want to like them. Yuva was very apologetic and helpful during the shipping issues due to COVID-19. Then I got the bibshorts and boy oh boy they are nice! It was one of those times where I did not to like it out of spite and then they were so good I couldn't help but laugh at the idea of not keeping them. I'm 6'3" (190.5 cm) and 175lbs (79 kgs) and ordered a medium based on the sizing guide from Yuva. I was skeptical as some other companies mediums bibs are high sitting on my thighs or the straps are really tight. These are snug and combined with the great sticking bottom of the bibs they don't move once they are on. The straps are perfect width and don't dig at all. I got the KOM ones and like the one leg with a little flare. The straps do show through a white jersey just a heads up (just my style). The chamois is amazing, I don't know how to explain it, just buy it! I have my eyes set on the Tour Divide and can't wait to take these with me!
Thanks for this very generous review Sam. I do understand the frustration and I really wish I had known about the postal delays earlier so I could manage expectation. Hindsight is 20-20 though. Postal Airmail flights are really limited at the moment (COVID-19 shortages) and postal networks are prioritising domestic over international mail at the moment. I do see this improving in May 2020 and regular delivery times on the free shipping service should resume later on in the year. When you're ready for your next order, get the Express Shipping option which is current subsidised until this pandemic ends - Yuva, Founder.
I've waited until I felt I had enough time/miles on these bibs to write an informed review. That said, I have been rotating two Stealth Bibs most every ride for the past year. They have over 100 rides and several thousand miles each, with dozens of rides in the four to six-hour range. I live in the high desert with year-round riding and can attest to comfort in both hot and chilly temperatures, but I don't have experience in high humidity. These are my go-to bibs, and are far and away better than the others bibs I have as far as comfort, durability, and quality. I have tried quite a few mid-range name-brand bibs and these blow them away; no comparison. I have not tried lots of other high-end, big name expensive bibs, so I can't compare and contrast directly. However, having found these, now I don't need to. I can tell when I'm not wearing these and am not as happy on longer rides with different bibs.
As far as customer service, Yuva has been great. Any questions I've had he's answered promptly and his advice via the sizing desk was spot on. I'm 5'9" / 175 lbs and a Large fits perfectly. My next bibs will be coming from Red/White, they are well worth it.
I have now done five 40+ mile rides in the Red and White bibs. They fit well, are extremely comfortable, and the chamois performs as advertised on longer rides; comparable to if not better than my Castelli bibs. Craftsmanship is solid and they appear to be holding up to repeated washing. I am 5 foot six and a half inches tall, 39 chest, 29 waist and the small fits perfectly. Would definitely purchase another pair.
It fits very well and comfortable. After a long distance riding in hot day still keeps good feel.
Wore RedWhite bibs a couple of times now and I have to say its the most comfortable bib I ever owned. Worth every cent.
My road bike's seat is rather hard, but the bibs made me forget all about it.
Nice RW design on the Stealth bibs and fits well.
I had a question regarding stitching around the padding area, emailed RedWhite about it and got a reply immediately and the issue was addressed well - no more problems.
All in all, good product - well done RedWhite!
Item arrived as promised and timely. Material looks good and sizing is accurate . Have yet to put on for a long ride given current condition. But will say is value for money
I been riding for quite a long time now and I tried a lot of cycling bibs. I’m very thankful that, I discovered the RedWhite cycling bib. The fit is spot on compared with my other bibs. It has a good quality material, price wise is not bad , it’s worth for the money. For sure I’ll be getting other pair soon. I highly recommend this product 👍👍👍👍
