The Entry Bib Short is designed for rides below 3 hours long. Most of your weekly rides tend to be below 3 hours long and this bib short is optimised for that. We drew on our experience designing long-distance bib shorts and infused that DNA into these shorter distance shorts. We also stripped out the bangs and whistles and dropped the price to make this an affordable daily-driver for you. Pick up a few pairs and keep them in rotation and save your more expensive bibs for the weekend.

The Entry Bib Short punches far above it's price and "entry-level moniker". It is an excellent choice for customers who need something comfortable that gets the job done for sub 3 hour rides. This bib short won't be suitable for long epic days, but how often do you do those sort of rides in a week? Think of the Entry Bib Short as your daily driver. Something affordable that can be thrashed on weekdays, saving your more expensive bib shorts for the longer weekend rides.

The Entry Bib Short is designed for cyclists who do rides below 3 hours long. This will be your daily-driver bib short. This bib short uses a medium density chamois and a blend of lightweight entry level fabrics from M.I.T.I. & Effepi of Italy. This bib short is manufactured in the same factory as our expensive long-distance bib shorts. Fabrics used have a SPF 50+ rating. This bib short is also tailored exactly the same as our most expensive bib shorts. It truly is incredible value for your money.

How did we make this lower in price?

We use cheaper fabrics from MITI & Effepi for the lycra and mesh fabric in the straps. The pad in this bib short is made of a single layer of medium-density foam which is cheaper than the beefed up multi-density, multi-layer pad in the more expensive long-distance bib shorts. We kept the same gripper as our more expensive bib shorts because we couldn't find anything cheaper that worked as well. We also take a lower profit margin on these. Adding all this up results in a bib short that is 35% cheaper yet feels more expensive than the price you pay for it.

Great short range shorts.

Love these shorts - they are very well made (like all R+W products) but much lighter and perfect for that 1-2 hour rip. Will probably get a few more pairs for my weekday after work riding needs.

Definitely would recommend

5'10" 178cm 186lbs (84kg) I have now been on multiple rides with "the entry bib short" from Red White. I love these, my rides in them average around 1 hour and 30 minutes and they are great for that length. I wore them and rode a 100k ride lasting just less than 4 hours and at that point they were still great, but it was definitely pushing the boundaries in my opinion. I love these and would definitely recommend them to anyone. I have not yet been on a ride with "the stealth bib short", but if the quality is as good as it is for "the entry bib short" Im sure I will love them too.

entry level bib shorts

Appreciate the sizing advice. 34" waist, 6'4", 200lbs. Ended up with the XL which fits snugly but not tight. The bibs feel a little bulky between the legs but that disappears when cycling. Overall a great pair of bibs for a very reasonable price.
