This is my second purchase. RedWhite The RACE is the best bib shorts for me so far in terms of fit/durability and comfort. Thank you. I will buy the same one next.

Great and affordable bibs, material and chamois is thin yet comfortable. However there were some loose threads/rough edges at the end of the shorts.

This is my second pair of Red White bibs – I also own a pair of the original bibs. I like the original bibs, and as I was in need of a second pair (and they were offering a promotion), I chose to purchase the Race Bibs. I was a bit hesitant because I thought perhaps the chamois would not be as comfortable – it’s advertised as being lighter. To my pleasant surprise, they are more comfortable than the original version which can ‘bunch’ ever so slightly. I will soon be in the market for a third pair of bibs, and I expect to purchase another pair of Race Bibs. My only minor complaint is purely cosmetic – the red lettering on the white bib straps bled a little when I soaked them before the first wearing.

Comfortable and fits really well. Overall very well made! Except that the logo at the left strap seemed to bleed a little onto the white strap. But this is just minor cosmetics so 5 stars still!

I’ve got two pairs of the race and you can’t beat the quay of these shorts. Great padding and a really sharp look. Considering the price these bibs are a great buy.

I really like The Race Bibs. They feel great in the seat and straps, but I’d like them to be a bit longer. Aside from that they are one of my go-to bibs. Thanks!

Having done a fair amount of search to find that all important balance of perceived quality and price im delighted with my early day results including 3 rides over 5 hours, i can delighted I’m delighted with my choice.
I can’t quite bring myself to pay Assos pricing, I know they are good, but I really don’t want to compromise on the quality /nee durability of the pad. Equally, I’m no racing snake and so the idea of paying similarly colossal amount of money for Castelli’s finest and yet have to have a size that comes with at least three X’s in front of it, no sir those would not for me either.
so I searched and was not disappointed. The bibs are well made, not uber technical more supremely well cut and well put together. I would say while they may not be super compressive as some, they are simply yet hugely effectively comfortable bibshorts. You just put them on and and get on with ride and think nothing more of your all important contact area whatever the duration of the ride. The legs don’t move and the shoulder straps don’t bite. They just do what they are supposed to do. It’s early days with these bibshorts I know, but for all the pairs I have, they have rapidly gone to the top of my favourite list. Thank you.

Finally received my “the race”. This bibshort must love travelling. It was dispatched as usual but somehow never made to my home and was send back to Singapore. Yuva was very helpful in getting the bibshort to me and it finally arrived. I.ve been a very font user of the bibs. I,ve used it in many long rides, including last years’ Deloitte ride across Britain’. Comfort was perfect. Quality, fit and durability very high. In the saddle perfect, but out of the saddle or walking around, the chamois is very noticeable. So far fast rides I used other bibs. However now there is the race. It feels like 80% of the bulk is gone, and only 10-20% of the comfort is sacrificed. Really perfect for those fast, hot and less than 3 hour rides. I really like this new bibshort. Same quality, same fit, lots of comfort and probably the same durability as “the bibs”.

This is my second purchase from RedWhite and I was very much looking forward to try it out. However, after two 100km runs, I regret to say that I’m slightly disappointed. “The Race”didn’t quite deliver the support and comfort that I experienced from” The Bib”. Neither the chamois nor the compression fit delivered what I expected. Now don’t get me wrong, it’s a very good Bib, far better than most more expensive products on the market, but I had higher expectations. With this said, I still consider RedWhite a favourite when it comes to cycling shorts.

Have owned a pair of the bibs for over an year. These are my go to bibs for longer rides. But for shorter, high speed rides the chamois is just to much. The race is more suited for these faster rides. Chamois slightly different and less bulky. All of the other excellent features of the bibs are varied over. Durability fit looks. Used the bibs for 6000k last year and they still look like new. Just losing some of the micro dots. But more then enough still remain. None of my previous bibs lasted this long.

I tried “the Race” bibs for the first time during a ride yesterday. 50 km of “all out”-cycling with brand new bibs, and I completely forgot I was wearing them – until I looked down at my aching legs and the stylish silicone grippers. Sweet! When the chamois has been thoroughly broken in, my guess is these bibs will be perfect. I will try to wear them out!

So the difference between these and the “BIBS”. They’re smaller overall, thus when you ride them you’ve got less of an adjustment period to a huge chamois, and it works much better for a lower, racier fit. They’ve got holes. Which is I suppose less comfort/weight, but it really just helps with in-race movement on the saddle the most I think.
Fit is great. Still comfortable for the 6+ hour rides though.

Only reason I wouldn’t give 5/5 is the branding of “THE RACE” on the shorts, which make them less attractive as a mostly black replacement for club bib shorts. Nothing to do with construction, quality, or fit. 🙂

    Yuva Test

Hello! If you’re reading these reviews, allow us to explain about our latest bibshort – The RACE. It was designed as a minimal version of our popular long distance bibshort – The BIBS, to allow riders who race and ride aggressively to get into the positions required on the saddle to dish out the watts when going hard in the break or when going for the win. If you wish to know more about the differences between The RACE & The BIBS, please read this article by us – http://www.redwhite.cc/the-race-bibshort-versus-the-bibs-bibshort-a-comparison/

I ordered The RACE from Singapore. Both Chamois and Silicone Microdot Gripper are the best. But, you need to handwash it to keep Gripper intact.

I had a problem. I had so many multi-coloured jerseys, and only some of them came with accompanying bibs. I was in need of a plain-looking bib short that was comfortable and RedWhite came up with the solution.

I usually have a problem with the silicon straps on most bib shorts, they leave painful blisters around my thighs after long rides. However, I never had a problem with RedWhite’s silicon micro-dotted elastic thighbands which comfortably held my bib shorts in place.

The fabric of the RedWhite bibs are also of top quality. It appears very thick, and so there is definitely no concern about exposing your butt crack during rides, but what surprised me was how light and thin it actually felt when worn – which is important when riding in warm weather.

And the chammy is also tip-top. I often find myself rummaging through my basket of washed, unfolded laundry to find the RedWhite bib i wore the previous day, so I can wear it again. Frankly, when I wore these bibs for the first time, I thought the chammy was bulky and too thick for my liking. But after the first week, the chammy worn in and I changed my mind. At the MTB national champs, choosing to wear this pair of RedWhite bibs was the natural choice for me. It provided just enough compression and remained comfortable throughout, which is critical in helping me to perform at the highest level every time.

Highly recommended, even if you’re not a racer, you’ll definitely enjoy these bibs. Your butt will thank ya. 😀

Fist of all I want to present my self, as I was one of two TESTERS for this bibshort when it was still a prototype. I live in Santiago, Chile (South America, for those of you that can figure it out), we are in the south corner of the world, it’s a little far but i managed to get my hands on a very diverse set of cycling apparel, from my first Chinese kits to some Castelli and Sugoi Bibshorts and jerseys (not counting all the accessories, gloves, and extras).
So to say I’ve tried lots of them. Riding an average of 8-10 hours a week (trying to stay fit for the races), on a mixed road-mtb scenario and bike, i tend to squeeze the life out of every cycling clothing piece I own, and The Redwhite “RACE” bibshorts weren’t the exception, although i can’t seem to notice the difference from when I first wore them.
I’ve been testing them for 5 month (and still counting), in road training sessions, road races, mtb rides, and mtb races (with lots of falls!). When you put these on you feel a light fabric, lot’s of grips in the leg section (silicon dots on wide lycra), it’s like they disappear.
On the bike they do not fold and produce bubly part, like others, they stay close to your skin, fitted. When you are riding, and the heat tends to build up, but your legs stay fresh, the perspiration ins’t a problem any more, and when it’s cold (i tested them on two winter month) the air does not pass through, the cold stays out! With other bibshorts, sometimes after a couple of hours riding they irritated my skin because of the movement, but again, The Race kept me going on, asking for more, without trouble.
Now about the chamoise, when i first got my hand on them, i thought it was to light and shallow, and that could compromise the comfort, but after a 4 hour ride i had no problem in the area, i actually thanked that they were not bulky! the special design with dots has stayed the same without wear or tear.
About he wear and tear (durability), as i said I ride a lot, and consistent…
