It’s taken me a bit to write this review but wanted to be sure of my thoughts before doing so. I’ve now ridden multiple rides with these bibs and compared them to my previous go to bibs from a different manufacturer. The last test was125 mile rides on consecutive weekends, both with about 5k ft of climbing. The stealth bibs were the clear winner...no chafing, no perineum discomfort...and about 1/2 the price. I just ordered my 2nd pair....
Great support and really good value for money considering some of the outrageous prices some otehr brands are charging...
I have only ridden these a few times but so far so good. The chamois is good And should get better as they break in. The bibs seem to bind a bit at the top upper part of my leg but I haven’t issued a final verdict yet as I feel I am still breaking them in.
They are comfortable, but could give a little more room in the thighs. I am a muscular rider. My waist is 34" for being 6 feet tall. The outer touch points of the bibs are just a little bit stretched, but workable.
I have two long trainer rides on them so far. One 2 hour ride and one 2 1/2 hour ride. These shorts are amazing compared to the shorts I have been using. I have yet to get an actual outdoor ride in them which will be a better test. Only reason for 4 stars is because I have nothing to compare them to. But, so far, best money I have spent in my return to cycling.
Always hard to acquire clothing products online (with so much variation in size) but the purchase of RedWhite Apparel with Yuva is easy.
I saw the Navy Bib 'first batch' run several months ago and reached out to Yuva to get some better idea of the sizing and he recommended the 'L' for me
I bought the Navy and the Black and they arrived within a number of days and on trying them on they fit perfectly. They have proven comfortable for the shortish 60-100km rides and it will be interesting to establish what they are like after a few more hours in the seat
I am now going to secure the honeysuckle and lilac jerseys. The brighter the better for visibility, and again liaising with Yuva he has suggested XL for the jerseys.
I am 180 cms and 79 kgs to provide some perspective from the provided images, if you are looking to secure some product.
Red White Apparel - good, well priced and well manufactured and Yuva is very helpful and professional in his dealings
All the best with your purchases and happy riding
I do a lot of my riding now in my shed "The Room of Pain". The reason are as follows : Major road works and it is unsafe and also so hot over here in Auckland, NZ. I have been using the bibs now for a month. I would buy more. Unlike normal cycling (outdoors), you get not rest on a turbo trainer. I use a wahoo by the way. You usually get bad pressure points on a turbo trainer..but not with these bibshorts. I can spend up to 6 hours and have no issues.
This is my 2nd pair of stealth bibs. I ride brevets which start at 200k and go up from there. Once they are on I never think about them which is how they should be. I also ride a Wahoo trainet 3-4 times a week from October-March. If they are comfortable on a trainer they should be comfortable on the road. I rode a 360 km 24 hour fleche ride in my first pair in May. I am 5'10" and 176 lbs with a 32" waist and 40" chest and wear a medium.
As an ultracyclist(24hr, RAAM), I’m always looking for the solution to saddle sores. I saw these, and for that price, was willing to give them a try. What a pleasant surprise! Great chamois, great compression. So happy with them, I ordered three more. No compensation, no sponsorship.
Just received the bibs two weeks ago, still winter here in Illinois USA; so I have not tried them on a long ride yet but did a 2 hrs workout on my rollers as a test and the feeling was by far a much appreciated improvement from any of my other bibs. One thing I would like to point out is that perhaps the sizing runs on the small side, I'm 5'2", 135 lbs and always wear size small. This bibs run a bit short on the legs compared to my other bibs, I'm not sure I like that but will give them a try once the weather is warm enough to wear them without other winter clothing on top. Also, can you move the tag? a tag-less design change in my opinion would be an improvement. Other than that the chamois feel very comfortable and overall made of good quality materials.
