The BIB - Thermal is a warm, fleece-backed lycra bibshort that is based on The BIB. It keeps your hips, lower back and thighs warm, while allowing the rest of your legs to enjoy the sun. It is designed for Spring & Autumn rides when the temperature is low but not cold enough for full length winter tights. This product is designed for use during the winter fringe seasons. It pairs well with your favourite knee and leg warmers for a versatile multi-season bibshort.
This new bibshort uses a fleece-backed thermal lycra that is made by M.I.T.I of Italy. This fabric is slightly water repellent and will easily handle light drizzles and road spray.
The BIB - Thermal is made for Spring & Autumn (fringe seasons) and will carry you through rides of 5 hours and more.
How to use this Bibshort:
Start your chilly morning ride in The BIB - Thermal with leg / knee warmers on. As the sun comes up, you will inevitably heat up. Remove your leg / knee warmers when this happens. The thermal fabric will keep you warm enough for the remainder of your ride without causing you to overheat.

The thermal bibs are ace. Perfect for our winters in New Zealand. As expected, comfort and fit are world class. Absolutely a must have for the cooler months.
Really happy they work as intended Scott. Do you pair these with knee warmers?
I'm writing this review as the temperatures in Canberra, Australia start to drop into sub-zero C for my morning commute. Combined with good warmers they are living up to expectations - which simply put is great thermal performance without compromising on fit. Personal advice from Yuva on fit was greatly appreciated. I'm 172cm with large quads, so sizing can be problematic. Based on my previous purchases we got it right first time, size L fits just right.
excellent for the cold conditions. rode 100 km by 4 celsius. cold hands no cold legs. perfect
I bought 4 pairs of RW shorts and decided to go with the thermal bibs on a whim to complete the team bundle. I'm so glad that I did as they have turned out to be a very versatile piece of kit when paired with some leg warmers. These bibs are great for spring and fall where regular bibs would be a bit chilly. They have been great for those chilly rides that start in the morning with leg/arm warmers but keep you comfy after the sun comes up and you can shed some layer. I recently wore them on a 180km training ride with temps varying from 8C to 15C and they kept me comfy the whole time. Like all of the RW bibs, the chamois is top-notch and I haven't had any saddle sores or irritation from them. For reference, I'm 183cm, 73KG and the sizing guide put me in a medium which was spot on.
These are by far the best fitting and comfortable cycling shorts I have ever worn. I ride over 10,000 miles a year with some doubles included. Looking forward to having these shorts to make my riding more enjoyable. The sizing recommendation was perfect.
The Bib Thermal has been perfect for me as have all items redwhite. My shortest rides are 26.4 miles and longest 108 miles. I just love my RedWhite more so than assos and other gear that I have on in the pictures. Tomorrow I will purchase redwhites new bibs with the added pockets. I will probably not purchase the new winter gear because the cold weather is disappearing in the US state of Georgia. The bottom line is that RedWhite gear is as good as any, but so affordable.
Not quite, but terrific bibs. I have 2 other pairs of the stealth and with a run of cold weather here in Seattle decided to give the thermals a try. Really nice upgrade for the cold - fits the same, still comfortable, great bib.
And arrived within the same week as ordered - impressive.
The only bibs I want to wear

Hi John, thanks for leaving this review! Do you mind editing it to include information about how it performed in the cold? It would really help other people figure out if this bibshort will work for them or not. Ideally (if you don't mind), you could go into specifics such as temperature range, your riding location and how you pair it with knee / leg warmers. - YUVA, Founder

Sizing spot on (L - 183cm / 80kg). Wearing the shorts on long rides I don’t notice or think about my bib shorts at all which means they are doing their job well! Thermal shorts work well for me in temperature range from about 8 deg up to 16/17 deg.
I just bought 4 pair of Red White bib shorts, including 1 pair of the thermal bibs. They are so comfortable and warm, I wish I would’ve gotten 2 pair of the thermal ones!
I am 68” tall and 188 lbs and the large fit great.
