Why We Exist:
Finding a reliable bibshort supplier is strangely challenging. If you ride a lot of miles, you've likely gone through multiple brands, looking for that elusive bibshort that just works. RedWhite Apparel is built to solve this problem. Our lofty goal is to become your Go-To bibshort supplier. That's why we only make bibshorts and nothing else. About Us.
I’ve been looking for a pair of bib shorts ever since I picked up road cycling. I’m so glad I bought this pair from RedWhite because they are not only very comfy but the padding provides much needed cushioning for days when I decide to clock extra mileage. I love the colour and the fit too. I bought a women’s M and it fits me perfectly — not too tight but still with a decent amount of compression.
These shorts are beautifully made wth great attention to detail. The navy blue is perfect-not too light. I used the size guide and Yuva recommended Medium. When I first tried them on I thought they were a little too tight but once on the bike they were comfortable and did not pull or constrain movement anywhere. I think I am right on the high limit of the Medium’s but the large would have been too big. The pad is extremely comfortable-great if you have a bad back- and is the best I have ever had. I haven’t been out on a really long ride yet but I can see how good they would be. The really high end brands may be better but I doubt it and at half the price these are fantastic value. Great product, great service. Will certainly buy again.
Did a team bundle and one of the bibs have a minor scratch. Contacted RW and he did not hesitate in assisting with my exchange. Gained another happy user.
Wouldn’t hesitate to recommend RedWhites and, in fact, my last order was for four different people. While I first bought these years ago specifically for 24-hour and stage racing, I find I automatically pick one of my RedWhite sets for any rides over an hour (so, most of them). Best chamois around, comfortable all over, and very long-lasting. And I’m loving the Stealth set for women.
Really happy with the purchase. No bone pain after a long ride. Was worried that the bib shorts would be too "long" for my petite frame (i am 1.56m tall) but it was a really nice fit with good quality padding. Let's see how much mileage i can cover with this pair (: Will definitely purchase again!
I've tried my first redwhite bib back in 2017-2018 and I was absolutely sold! Recently I decided that it was time to retire my first bib as it has gone through quite a lot of mileage and the material started to become a little transparent eventhough the padding and stitches are still intact and holding well. So for my new pair, I consulted Yuva on the sizing and he recommended a size up for a better fit. When it first arrived, I was shocked as it looks really small and was tight like a wetsuit! Yuva assured me that the sizing is correct and the bib is of a different material compared to the one I owned previously. I've worn and washed it 3 times so far, and the fit is just perfect!
These bibs were highly reccomended to me and as someone who spends a lot of time in the saddle I have been suffering of late, even with using my best Rapha or Le Col bibs for long stretches on the turbo the sit bone pain was getting unbearable. My first long ride in these shorts this weekend with 4 hours - a good turbo test - and no sit bone pain at all! I love the fit, the material is very soft and cool to wear. I went for a S in womens although I'm on the top end of XS this allowed for someone who has 'cycling legs' as very well advised by Yuva - thank you very helpful! The grippers are excellent and not a sausage leg in sight! They look awesome too. 5* for sure.
Thank you for such a generous review Claire :). I really appreciate you taking the time to write this. For those reading this, Claire is 1.62m tall, 55kg and has a 27 inch waist. She is on the border between size XS and S end ended up choosing to go up a size to S.
Redwhite woman bib shorts is the most comfortable, durable and stylish bib shorts I had wore so far.
Especially the new stealth design is looking cool with the ‘RW’ letters on the edge of the shorts .. the cushion on the butt is thick and cushy . I enjoy my riding more when I am using the RW bib shorts . Keep up the good work. I last feedback is that I will prefer the cutting of the bib shorts to have a shorter length shorts but keeping the comfort level of the material and the padded area. Thanks
I haven’t used these for rides longer than 2hrs yet, but so far I love them. The material is very smooth, feels great on the skin, and the grippers are very comfortable. It’s clear that a lot of thought has gone into the overall design. I did notice that I need to use a little extra chamois cream on the front part down there to avoid soreness/chafing. Perhaps that is one area to improve on, though using some extra chamois cream seems to alleviate the problem so it’s not a huge deal. Overall, great price for a high quality bib short.
Hi Shannah, am really happy you like the shorts. The chamois does soften up with use and most riders typically end up not using chamois cream. That being said, I do understand that preferences vary greatly. These shorts were tested by roughly 20 female riders over a 1 year period. I did attempt to test the chamois myself, but since I am male, it felt uncomfortable for obvious reasons.
I've tried plenty of bib shorts (including some very high end shorts from the likes of Castelli and Rapha), but these are without a doubt my favorites. I have a theory that different shorts work for different bodies based on hip placement. I think it's for that reason that Pactimo and Castelli shorts don't work for me. Rapha's chamois is very comfortable, but they are twice as expensive as Red White's! Yuva has done a great job building exception value into this product. They lasted me halfway through my run at Dirty Kanza, which was well over 6 hours. My one comment is that they should be replaced every year if you wear them regularly. That's not a complaint about durability; I think 12 months of use is good durability for the foam chamois (and I barely got 4 months out of my Castelli kit). But if you find that the shorts aren't as comfortable as you remember, it's time to buy some new ones!
