**It is recommended to use a sports bra without a plunging centre with this Drop-Tail Bib Short for added comfort. Ideally, use sports bras with a rounded neckline / camisole style.

***This Cargo Bib runs tighter in the glutes because of the 4 pockets. Please check the sizing chart's glute circumference before making a purchase.

The Drop-Tail Cargo Bib Short with Pockets (Women's) is RedWhite's signature long distance cargo cycling bib short for women with a Y-style Drop-Tail strap for easy nature breaks. The front of this bibshort uses a Y-style mesh strap with a plunging neckline for comfort. The back features a split strap that connects just above your posterior for easy pull-down during nature breaks.

Just pull it down at the rear, do your thing and pull it back up. No awkward magnetic clasps, buckles or attachments to fiddle about with.

2 large thigh pockets allow you to store nutrition, your phone & any small items. These pockets are made from a tough & stretchy nylon fabric that is snag-resistant.

A Drop-Tail Cargo Bib Short Built for Long Distance Rides

This bib short is designed to help you crush big miles in comfort. It is made for rides of more than 5 hours and has been ridden in events such as :

  • Transcontinental Race
  • AUDAX
  • Paris-Brest-Paris
  • Race Across America
  • Pacific Coast Bicycle Race
What can these pockets carry? :

The model in these photos is wearing a size M bib short and is carrying the following items, with room for more :

    • Samsung Galaxy S9+ phone (thigh pocket)
    • 3 cereal bars, with room for 1 more (thigh pocket)
How to use the Drop-Tail Strap :

This bibshort is designed to be pulled down at the rear without removing your jersey. To use this feature, do the following :

    1. Lift the rear of your jersey and hook your thumbs into the gap between the straps at the rear.
    2. Gently bend your legs at the knees.
    3. Pull down the bibs over your posterior. You will encounter some tension in the straps when you pull it down past the mid point of your posterior. This is normal and the bibs have been designed for that.
    4. Bend your knees more while pulling down the bibs even more at the rear.
    5. You should now be able to sit or squat comfortably for a nature break with the rear of the bibs out of the way.

Perfect Bib Shorts for Long Rides!

I am extremely happy with my purchase! Before ordering, I wasn’t sure about my size, so I sent a message asking for help. The customer service was amazing—they helped me choose the right size, and it fits me perfectly.

These bib shorts are incredibly comfortable, and the chamois has excellent padding. I no longer feel uncomfortable on the saddle during long rides because the padding provides great support.

I bought the cargo version, and the pockets are so useful! I can easily carry my energy gels and gummy chews without needing to stuff my jersey pockets.

I am so impressed with the quality that I plan to buy the winter version before summer ends.

I highly recommend these bib shorts to anyone who enjoys long rides. They are absolutely worth the investment!

Thank you for the very kind and generous review Ayeznem : - Yuva

    Comfort and convenience

The shorts are absolutely as advertised. They’ve proven to be comfortable over huge days in saddle, easily becoming my favourite in a collection of bibs.

And the Droptail works great for those unavoidable moments.

    Sadly not for me

I bought a pair of these bibs after receiving a personal recommendation from a (male) friend, who said that RedWhite bibs are the only bibs he wears, and he does a lot of long distance riding too. I tested them out on some shorter rides and they worked fine, although I did notice the stitching was low quality and some seams were unraveling almost immediately after simply putting them on. I was happy with the size and compression, S (160cm/115lbs). However, on the first day of my ultra endurance race, about 205kms in, I developed some saddle sores that were so severe I nearly had to end my race. Despite changing my position around and liberally applying chamois cream. The chamois is thick and does not feel good on my sitzbones, it appears to fold in uncomfortable places and rubs and chafes me in the worst way imaginable. The drop tail mechanism is great, as well as the thigh bands. The Y straps feel a bit flimsy and loose, I suppose to account for the flexibility for the drop tail mechanism. I don’t love the huge mesh band that covers the stomach area, the seam is irritating and it makes me feel hot and like there’s too much unnecessary fabric in that area. The pockets feel very taught, which was the first thing I noticed and I was advised to try sizing up, but I didn’t want to because a larger size would’ve caused even more chafing, not worth it for the pockets. They are made of a rather delicate mesh and although I only carefully placed non pointy objects in them such as my phone, earbuds and some gels, holes started forming in them after just a few rides. I am sad that these bibs did not work for me, buying bibs is always a big commitment and there’s never a guarantee they will work for you unless you try them. Hopefully they work for you. I’d rather support a small business with a passionate person behind the product than some heartless corporate brand, but sadly these aren’t compatible for me.

Hi Sarah, thank you so much for trying a pair of my bibs. Do send my thanks to Michael for recommending them to you. I am sorry these didn't work well for you. You wrote to me about them being too tight and I suspect they are a size too small for you which explains why the seams are unravelling so early and why the pockets feel too tight. For context, the model on the website is very close to your weight and she wears size M instead of the S you purchased.

When sized correctly, the bibs should work well. The pad will be better located as well which should solve your saddle sores issue. Admittedly, these cargo bibs do run tighter and most customers size up from their normal bibs.

    2nd pair I've purchased

I bought my first bibs last year and loved them... and wished that I had gotten the one with pockets. Just received my 2nd pair and this time with the pockets. They fit better than any bike shorts I have and the drop tail really works.

    These were Great!

    These were Great!
I purchased these to for riding the TransAtlantic Way, 1500 miles up the west coast of Ireland. One of my biggest concerns was saddle sore, so I wanted to have the best pair of shorts for the ride. I wore these shorts 6 out of 9 days of the trip and along with some chamois cream experienced no saddle sore, completing 160 to 180 miles each day! YAY!
They were also great because it was so easy to go for a wee when on the ride without having to take of my jersey each time :)
I gave my sizes and it suggested a size Medium, which i thought may be a bit big, but they were actually quite snug and comfortable. The pockets were perfect too for carry multiple snacks and my phone in, without feeling like the fabric was sagging. Very great, thank you very much!

    My new favorite bibs!

My new favorite bibs! I did size up and they fit perfect. Pockets and chamois pad are the best! They hold up on the longer rides (80-100 miles)

    Best Bibs ever

I have 3 pair of red white bibs. I love them. I’ve had issues with saddle sores that wouldn’t go away. I wasn’t able to ride very long and I couldn’t ride as often as I wanted. But these shorts have made it possible for me to go on 100 km rides. I can ride practically every day. They’re the most comfortable ever! I highly recommend them! I had one pair that started to tear at a seam. I’d probably had them for about six months and I was given a new pair as a replacement free of charge and I didn’t have to pay for shipping. They stand behind their product.

    Cargo drop bib

I thought i would give these bibs ago. So far they have been outstanding. But the real test is when i use them for the Indian Pacific Wheel Ride 2026. I wanted more pockets which are great. But the big bonus is that they are extremely comfortable especially having to do a quick pee stop on the side of the road without having to get undressed. The Y front is soft and easy wear. Doing an Ultra you need to consider all of your kit. Well done on the design, will give another review after i have completed the 5,475km ride🙏

These bibs have brought back joy to my riding!

I'm a shorter older lady (159cm, 52kgs, 66 years old, longer legs shorter body). I have more curves than straight lines. I've been having trouble with pain on my seat-bones after about 20 miles which has been replacing my joy of cycling with an anxiety of how much pain is this going to cause today? I bough the size Yuva recommended, M. So far I have ridden in the bibs once for a road ride of about 40 miles.
The fit of the shorts is very good on me. The lightweight shorts material is soft and stretchy so I imagine it actually fits well on lots of body shapes. The only slight (very slight) complaint is the line across the tops of the pockets, which sometimes felt like a firm crease. I do like pockets, great for a tissue or phone but don't put small hard objects such as lip salve or tiny pots of chamois cream in them as a fall may leave a nasty bruise. Length is good for me, mid thigh. Material is quite light, but in winter (UK) I shall be wearing them under unpadded tights. The drop-tail works well. I have used many different makes and will only buy bibs with a nature break solution. Quite how some manufacturers can claim "all-day comfort" when you can't have a pee is quite beyond me. The straps do feel a bit flimsy but as I'm short there is plenty of slack and we'll see how they last. It would be a bit better for me if the top of the short/bottom of the straps were a bit lower, but then as I said before, at 159cm I'm slightly below average height and my rise measurement is low. Not overly in love with the look of the Y but I don't see or feel it once it's on, its comfortable over my breasts (30E) and doesn't wander about like some straps.
The pad is outstanding. I'm not entirely sure how Yuva has done it, but it stays in exactly the right place on my body and actually protects my ischial tuberosities. It covers less area than some, but in a good way - who wants a large section of pad showing half way up their backside? Many other manufacturers' pads seem to be placed too far back for me, resulting in a feeling of bone-to-saddle contact.  It felt as protective at the end of the ride as the start. No stitching sewn across the pad - brilliant. Possible to walk in - necessary for those hike-a-bike moments.
The not-so-good: As a chunky-thighed lady, the combination of soft stretchy bib-short material and a firm leg band give me quite bad sausage-legs. The leg band may relax out over time, and my inner thighs can't be seen while on the bike anyway. Possible longevity, as the material is so soft and stretchy, but I shall follow the washing instructions carefully. And only available in black. Would love other colours (navy blue is very popular, or dark brown).
Thanks for my new favourite bibs, that are going to bring back the joy of riding longer distances.

    Cargo Bib Shorts

I was bought these shorts as an early birthday present by my husband who highly recommended them. I am not disappointed. I have used drop tail shorts and tights from other manufacturers and RedWhite are really comfortable. The Y front strap as a larger breasted female (32F) and 5’10 is so comfy. I genuinely don’t feel it when riding.
Having used Yuvas size guide and his advice to size up to XL for the cargo bibshorts I am very happy with the fit. They are a snug fit but not tight and the mesh pocket holds far more than I expected.
The chamois pad is moulded and I have found it to be very comfortable without any chafing and seems more breathable. Would highly recommend these shorts and to utilise the sizing guide and contact Yuza by email if you are unsure what size to order.

    Great for peeing!

These bibs are pretty great for peeing! No clips or buckles to fuss with. They are a little snug on my, let’s say, powerful thighs and where the pockets are I get a bit of digging in to my thigh. Not uncomfortably so but they seem as if they are shaped for a dude and not a lady perhaps? I think if I sized up they might not fit great. The chamois is comfy from the get go. Great overall!

    Delighted with design

I simply couldn't be more delighted. They fit perfectly, and I would not change a thing! I particularly love the mono-strap bib-front for women. It's easy, practical, and very flattering (when worn with a top). Unlike one of the other reviews I read, the leg length is perfect on my legs (I am not particularly long-legged!). Yes, you do need to size up for the cargo shorts. They are really form fitting around the hips and bottom. Great for all day riding. Thanks Yuva!
P.S. I would love a version that has thinner chamois padding for those shorter 1-2 hour bike rides...but I guess that may be a little off brand!

    My experience

I have ordered two pairs of bibs and some advice prior to ordering.
Review the sizing guide, I sized up from my normal size and they fit perfectly.
    The review as follows
The fit is good, the material utilized again is good. Utilize a bag when washing for best results and longer garment life.
The drop tail, my first ever bibs with this feature, read the instructions on use and am here to tell you……this feature works quite well and is easily used. Seriously happy on this unexpected surprise in relation to functionality.
The chamois is exceptional and perfect for those long rides!
Yuva a personal note, amazing customer experience the follow up on your behalf is amazing, it shows you actually care about your product and service. I can only say thank you and the bibs are amazing!

    Best shorts ever!!

I bought the women’s DROP-TAIL CARGO BIB SHORT and am so far very happy. The fit is perfect. Yuva was really helpful finding my size. I did have to change them for a larger size (at no extra cost) because they were too tight around my quads (so if you have large quads it may be worth sizing up). The Y strap looked a bit odd but the straps are very comfortable and work really well for toilet breaks. I have been cycling about 10 years and have tried bioracer, castelli, Pearl Izumi shorts and the pad on the redwhite shorts is by far the most comfortable. I forgot I was wearing them on a recent 200km ride. They just really work! I’m definitely going to order another couple of pairs.

    Excellent bibs for long rides

Really happy with these bibs. While I've usually found thinner chamois more comfortable and had some concerns with the notably thicker padding design RedWhite uses, my first 100km+ ride in these gave me no problems at all. The pockets are excellent, and so much deeper than some other cargo bibshorts so you're not at risk of anything sliding out. The y-front was unobtrusive enough that I forgot it was there (though I always ride with a base layer so can't comment on the next-to-skin feel), and the drop-tail function works really well. Definitely recommend using the sizing tool, I probably would have bought a large based on other brand sizing and basic measurements but Yuva recommended the XL and it fits perfectly. My only point for improvement is that as a taller woman (178cm) with relatively long legs, I wish the length of the shorts was slightly longer - though I'll note this is a personal preference and not the fault of the product itself, and even with that these bibs are still my new go-to choice for long rides. Thanks for a well thought-out product where the women's version clearly has specific R&D and isn't just an afterthought.

    Absolutley love them

I've worn my RedWhite bibs on three 80+ km rides so far. One flat, one hilly and a cat 2 climb and they were amazing...no sore tushie. Most comfortable bibs I've ever worn. The chamois feels a little stiff at first but quickly molds to your body shape and the drop tail function works wonderfull, needing only shoulder strap readjustment occasionally after use. Sizing is spot on with body hugging fit and a great level of compression. The pockets are a good size for phones etc and the mesh used feels great and allows for easy access. They're definitely going on my next 3 month bike tour. Thank you Yuva, you've created a wonderful product. De

Y strap front is fantastic for ladies with larger breasts

I recently purchased the new Y front cargo drop tail bib and it is my favourite bib hands down. I struggle finding comfortable bibs with the usual straps as I have somewhat larger breasts and the strpa never sit well (size 10, F cup, 6ft). With the Y front, I don't have to worry, there's been no rubbing, chafing and it's incredibly comfortable. The drop tail works really well (it's my first bib with that feature) and I can take a nature break without having to take clothing off. Super comfortable padding, ridden a couple of 100km rides and they live up to their endurance name. Sizing was also spot on. Will be buying another pair. Thanks Yuva, and please please please keep the Y front design!

Feedback for these new bibs have been very good so far. The previous model of this used a traditional strap design (like the men's bib) and did not have a drop-tail at the back. The product testers who tested both versions preferred the new Y-style straps with the drop tail for the same reason you mentioned here. I'm really happy you like them :)

    All around pleased!

These are my first pair of cargo bib shorts and I’m super pleased. The pockets fit my phone and extra blocs/gels with room to spare. The drop tail feature is a must have in my book-soooo easy to keep race gear on (backpack, jersey) and use the porta lets on race days! The chamois hold up great for the 4+ hour bike races we’re doing. Size guide was accurate: I’m 5’9”, 175lbs and XL is perfect (I’m usually a L in non-cycling bottoms) I am definitely looking into purchasing my second pair of bibs with Red White Apparel.

I'm really happy you like these new cargo bibs Sydney :)
