The Cargo Winter Bib Tight with Pad (Men's) is a cargo version of our Winter Bib Tight with Pad. 4 large pockets allow you to store large quantities of nutrition, inner tubes, tool kits, spare clothing and more. These pockets are made from a tough and stretchy nylon fabric that is snag-resistant.

We recommend using this cargo winter bib tight in temperatures between 0°C - 15°C (32  °F - 60°F). This winter bib tight uses a fleece-backed lycra that is made using hollow yarns. These yarns create an air-based insulation layer that is lightweight and warmThis Cargo Winter Bib Tight uses the same long-distance chamois in our popular long distance bib shorts.

It comes with ankle zippers (locks in place and doesn't move) that makes this bib tight easy to slip on and off. The leg opening is hemmed with a strip of silicone that prevents them from creeping up during a ride.

A strip of reflective material at the zipper adds a touch of visibility.

About this Thermal Fabric :

We took care in choosing a thermal fabric that makes this winter bib tight a joy to use on your cold rides. The fabric has a wide operational temperature range, making it versatile. This fabric has the following features :

  • Recommended for temperatures between 0°C - 15°C (32  °F - 60°F)**
  • Hydrophobic Treatment - repels light rain & road spray
  • Brushed Inner Fleece for soft on-skin feel
  • Piling-Resistant
  • Contains Hollow Yarns - uses the thermal properties of air to insulate you against the cold while remaining lightweight, like a polar bear's fur
  • Polyamide on the outside of the fabric and polyester on the inside against the skin allows sweat to evaporate. Polyester yarn has a low hygroscopicity, that absorbs little water, while the polyamide yarn has a hygroscopicity that’s 3x higher. The difference of hygroscopicity between the two fibres quickly transports moisture to the outside of the fabric. Your body stays dry and comfortable
What can these pockets carry? :

The model in these photos is 6 foot 1 inch, 40" Hip & Glute circumference, weighs 182 lbs. He is wearing a size XL (Regular) and is carrying the following items, with room for more :

  • Large smart phone & 1 Gel with room for 2 more (thigh pocket)
  • 4 Gels
  • Banana & 1 inner tube (lower rear pocket)
  • Pump, Tyre Levers & 1 inner tube (upper rear pocket)
Available in 2 Inseam Lengths:

This winter bib tight is available in 2 inseam lengths - Regular & 4" Shorter Inseam. The 4" Shorter inseam version is a Regular Length with 4" taken off the legs. It's tailored for riders who need bibshorts with shorter legs.

For example : A 180 lbs (81kg) rider who is 5 foot 6" would need a size XL or 2XL for his girth. However, the size XL (Regular) or 2XL (Regular) will be too long for him. He will need the size XL (4" Shorter Inseam) or size 2XL (4" Shorter Inseam) for his 5 foot 6" height.

    Possibly the best bib ever

I heard about the RedWhite company from an experienced ultra distance rider friend (BT700 FKT holder) as I was having fit issues with my current winter bibs (side note: nothing wrong with the quality of the existing bids more an expectation issue from myself as I do not ride in bib tights a lot and only recently worked out that the fit issue was a result of material fatigue after using the bibs for five years). Anyway he pointed me towards RedWhite.
The 'About' page resonated with me as I am a mountain bike component test rider so spend a lot of my time asking "why" about almost every product I use. Yuva's mindset is something that I understand and respect.
I used the contact fit form to request advice on sizing, as I am right on the cusp of two sizes, and the response was quick (less than a business day) and detailed. After I ordered the communication process was timely and effective. On sizing I am 6'2"/ 188 cm; 185 lbs/ 84 kg and I fit perfectly in the recommended XL Winter Cargo Bib. As always measure twice and check with Yuva.
The bib tights arrived as predicted (and tracked) and the only delay was based on showing them to a couple of friends before I had worn them and waiting for a cold enough ride day to wear them (I am that guy who is riding in shorts on a 8ºC day if it is dry).
The fit, on first try, felt odd to me, as if the chamois was positioned slightly too far forward. I decided that the reviews could not be so complimentary if such a design fundamental was incorrect so I washed them and waited for the correct (cold) ride temperature.
As soon as I actually sat on my bike (perfect fit, Reform Seymour moulded saddle) I realised that Yuva was on to something with the 'weird' chamois position. It is positioned perfectly for the sit bones, and the rest of one's saddle contact anatomy, when actually on the saddle. There is less excess and surplus chamois at the rear of the bib where no one ever sits on it other than on a seat whilst putting on riding shoes or a cafe during a ride break. Within 10 minutes it felt like I was on the chamois that my sit bones had been waiting their whole life for. That feeling remained for the remainder of a three hour ride.
Following Yuva's care advice (and my life time habit) I immediately washed it in a garment bag, on a gentle hand wash cycle, and hung it to air dry, partly for the best care of the garment and mostly because I wanted that bib available for the next cold ride as soon as possible.
On temperatures, I wore them on a 0ºC ride and my legs were warm throughout the ride. To be honest about conditions there was only a light wind and it was a slower (15 kmph) exploratory mountain bike ride that was mainly in tree cover. I imagine that a 40 kmph road ride might have provided more of a challenge to the bib material but for my normal use (mountain biking and fat biking) I can see them keeping me warm between 10ºC and -10ºC.
The leg cargo pockets 'disappear' when they are not being used and safely hold one's expensive phone (trail camera) and the two rear pockets are a clever design and very useful. Importantly, for my riding style, they sit flat when empty so that a hip pack, vest or pack doesn't cause any seam pressure on one's back. As a guide I deeply dislike garment design that causes discomfort during normal use and these pockets disappear.
I do not have any decent photos of the bib shorts as I have firm views about riders having their junk on display in public and wear mountain bike shorts over my bibs so there is just one that shows how they gently compress my calves.
Without any doubt this is the best bib I have ever owned and my bib collection (summer and winter) will be replaced with RedWhite Apparel bibs by next spring. My next order will be a second set of winter bib tights so I can day on/ day off for winter riding.

Thank you for taking the time to leave this long and generous review, Andrew :) - Yuva

    Best bibs I've ever owned.

After buying my first pair of RedWhites I put the rest of my bibshorts in a drawer & haven't touched them since. RedWhites are more comfortable on long rides than anything else & they hold up well to heavy use. Pockets make it easy to carry extra gear or calories. Customer service has always been great around sizing, shipping is prompt. Nothing but great things to say about the company, the product, & Yuva. If you need new bibs, buy RedWhites.

I’ve interacted with Yuva multiple times during my transaction, and have been floored at the extent he goes to help. Both before and after the sale he’s been kind and patient, asking good questions and explaining things as we went along. If you value customer service, buy something from RedWhite Apparel! There’s a reason they have so many long term customers.

    Great for corgis

Human's are often weirdly shaped, so take any fit review with a grain of salt, and the return/exchange process here is fast and friendly.

My own shape is short legs and long-ish torso (5'9 140 lbs, 32" W 28" L jeans) and the XL is perfect. I mean perfect. I'm used to having either legs too long and shoulder straps good (tolerable), or legs good and straps too tight (worse). The XL cargo tight gets both exactly right for me.

Everything else is spot on too. Personally I'd prefer an elasticated ankle cuff, but the zip here is good and doesn't bother while worn. Pockets are great, fabric is snug but stretchy enough to conform while being warmer than basic fleece. Chamois is forgettable, which is exactly what you want.

Here's a photo of the ankle after a ride. I tried the short-fit version before this, assuming I'd need it, and it was unexpectedly way too short for me. Turns out the normal version fits like a glove.

Excellent winter Apparel for Pennine Cycliste

After purchasing the summer version of the winter bub tights (which are excellent) I decided to buy the winter version.

As I expected, the fit and comfort is superior to other products. You basically put them on once you start riding you literally forget you're wearing them, until you remember you need a gel and reach into the cargo pocket.

They're thoughtfully designed with the connoisseur cyclist in mind. I like the zipper at the bottom and the high viz detailing too.

I would recommend to friends, family and anyone who appreciates quality that will last for many years.

    Very Happy

Very happy with these bib tights. They're quite a snug fit, which is good as it prevents shifting, rubbing and discomfort. I have tights from other manufacturers that are easier to pull on but have a tendency to twist or ruck up in use causing inevitable rubbing. These are just right. However, if you're towards the larger end of a size band you may need to check carefully in case they're too snug. I like the ankle zips which always used to be a feature on tights but somehow faded from popularity - but they make life so much easier. The bibs have proved very comfortable over a number of rides and the additional pockets are so useful that I think I'll always buy cargoes in future, whether it tights or shorts.

    Cargo Bib Tights

    My third RedWhite purchase.
    I’m 193cm tall and 92kg and purchased 2xl regular.
They fit perfectly, insulate well, and the pad makes it feel like you’re sitting on a cloud without compromising power!
There are so many pockets that I’ve not needed to use all of them, however they are discrete and stylish.
Yuva gives great advice for fit, so I’d recommend using that service if you’re unsure, even just a bit.
Well worth the purchase. These and my cargo shorts are all I really need on the bike!

    Top Winter Bib.

I’m 6ft and now 85kg. I’m 40 inches on the glutes and 18 inches above the knees.

I dropped a line to Yuva on 22nd October. He replied very quickly, and advised me to go for an XL (regular) size. I ordered them on the same day, and they shipped shortly after. They arrived this afternoon in the UK, 7 days after ordering, which I think is really good service.

I’d got the bike ready anticipating their arrival. The tracking service is really good, and Yuva keeps you updated throughout.

As soon as they came in I showered and changed and tried them on. A perfect fit. I snipped the label off and jumped on the bike.

It’s been a very cold week here, but I immediately felt the benefit of the material. The material is lighter in feel than my existing bib top, but warmer. It worked well at keeping me warm in wind and rain. The cargo pockets were a bonus. I’ve been trialling some new GoPro kit and being able to shove a boom down the leg pocket was really useful.

Only a quick first ride out today, just to test them out, and I’m delighted with them. I can around the corner of a muddy feel to see a great sunset and great light. I snapped this photo while I was out.

As ever from Red White, not just a great product, but a great service along the way. I’m looking forward to doing some decent Audax and touring rides this winter, and these will be my go-to bin tops for the season.

Thanks Yuva and team Red White Apparel!

    Winter Cargo Bib Tights

As the temperature has started trending towards winter, I have had the opportunity to try out these tights. I am impressed with the quality. The material is thicker than their regular shorts and I found them to be very comfortable in 40 degree (F) temps. I am confident they will continue to be so as it dips into the upper 30s. As for the cargo style size, at 6' and 160#s I opted for the size L after consulting with Yuva, and the fit is perfect. The side pockets are very useful, although I have not used the rear yet, but I'm sure they will be highly functional as well. These tights are a great addition to my cycling wardrobe and will enable me to extend the riding season through late fall, possibly winter, and early spring!

    Great Tights

Really impressed with these tights. The chamois is super comfortable, they have just the right amount of warmth and originally I wasn’t a sure if the zippers at the ankles would be an issue but I’m not aware of them when I’m riding so guess not.No bunching behind the knees. Plenty of pocket space.Yuva was quick to respond to my questions on fit and he knows his product because they couldn't fit any better.Great winter bibs at a very reasonable price !
