The Cargo Bib Short (Men's) with Pockets

*This Cargo Bibshort sizing got updated in 2023 and runs tighter in the hips & glutes than The BIB (Men's) and tighter than the 2022 Cargo Bibs. Please check the sizing chart's glute circumference before making a purchase.

**Sizing Note : If you are a shorter and heavier rider, look for the shorter inseam version. If in doubt, use the Sizing Helpdesk for a personalised size recommendation. Please note that 2" Shorter Inseam variants are only available in sizes M,L,XL,2XL & 3XL.

The Cargo Bib Short (Men's) with Pockets is designed to help you ride further than ever before. 4 large pockets allow you to store large quantities of nutrition, inner tubes, tool kits, spare clothing and more. These pockets are made from a tough & stretchy nylon fabric that is snag-resistant.

This bib short has a custom fit for for shorter & heavier riders with the introduction of 2" shorter inseam size options. More details below 👇.

A Bib Short Built for Long Distance Rides

This bib short is designed to help you crush big miles in comfort. It is made for rides of more than 5 hours and has been ridden in events such as :

  • Transcontinental Race
  • Paris-Brest-Paris
  • Race Across America
  • Pacific Coast Bicycle Race
What can these pockets carry? :

The model in these photos is 6 foot 3.5 inch, 38" Hip & Glute circumference, weighs 180 lbs. He is wearing a size L (Regular) and is carrying the following items, with room for more :

  • Samsung Galaxy S9+ phone & 1 Gel with room for 2 more (thigh pocket)
  • 3 cereal bars, with room for 1 more (thigh pocket)
  • Banana & 2 inner tube (lower rear pocket)
  • Pump, Tyre Levers & 1 inner tube (upper rear pocket)
Available in 2 Inseam Lengths:

This bibshort is available in 2 inseam lengths - Regular & 2" Shorter Inseam. The 2" Shorter inseam version is a Regular Length with 2" taken off the legs. It's tailored for riders who need bibshorts with shorter legs.

For example : A 180 lbs (81kg) rider who is 5 foot 6" would need a size XL or 2XL for his girth. However, the size XL (Regular) or 2XL (Regular) will be too long for him. He will need the size XL (2" Shorter Inseam) or size 2XL (2" Shorter Inseam) for his 5 foot 6" height.

Note for Returning Customers :

This bib short has been designed to retain the same fit, feel and performance as the bibshorts you've been purchasing for years from RedWhite. The only major change is the new Silicone Macro-Dot Gripper (see photos). This gripper was chosen for 2 reasons :

  1. It is more durable and doesn't overstretch with use. It stays grippy longer than the gripper used in our older bibshorts.
  2. It grips knee and leg warmers & coolers better. You can easily slip this gripper over the ends of your knee / leg coverings and have it hold those coverings better than the old grippers.

Keen eyed customers would notice the new rubber logo stitched on left thigh. This rubber logo has been ride-tested extensively. You won't notice it while riding. It is also washing-machine friendly and durable. Please note to only wash your bibshort in a cold wash cycle and never use a dryer-machine. Heat damages lycra and rubber.

    Cargo bibs.

I've had these bibs for quite a while now; due to working away from home it takes a little while to get km's in.

Simply put, the best pair of bibs I own by far. Super comfortable with the pockets being in the perfect position; especially the lower back one, super easy to reach!
I was a little concerned about the size of the pad initially. Totally unjustified; it just work!

Currently I use them on my gravel bike with rides of 3 to 4 hours long and have absolutely no complaints.
Fit is perfect; sized by Yuva. Pockets on the legs are spot on for gels, phone etc. and, as highlighted above, the back lower spot is so so easy to reach. Quality of product is on point, they seem to be very well made.

Customer service? You will be struggling to find better! Informative through the whole process with an absolute pleasure to have someone answer queries promptly; not that there were many!

I thoroughly recommend!! When I need a new pair I know where they'll be coming from!

    Thanks for the service mate!

I have now given my new Cargo Bibshorts a month's worth of rides, including three rides of 160+ kilometres (100+ miles), and I'm delighted with both the overall fit and the overall comfort, (-especially of the 'chamois' pad, as I am now 75 yrs old and haven't got the the naturally vigorous and elastic skin and muscle of my youth in that region!).

For information, my measurements are: height 169cm, weight 69kg, chest 93cm, hip/glute 95cm, thigh at approx 7½cm above top of kneecap 47.5cm.
I chose size L with the 5cm shorter inseam; I was slightly concerned that the shorts in this size might be a little slack round my buttocks, but they are actually a very good close and cosy fit, so my advice would be that if one is in-between sizes in the glute/thigh area, choose the bigger size.

The thigh pockets are wonderful, - well-positioned and beautifully stretchy, but also very unobtrusive and neat-looking when empty on a short ride; I haven't yet used the upper back pocket, but I've used the lower one to store my knee-warmers when the day has warmed up; very comfortable.

I consider the price (for buyers in Britain, which is all I know about) to be v good value.

Customer service is second to none!
It is so refreshing to have queries answered promptly, and with detailed knowledge and advice; thank you Yuva; it has been a pleasure to deal with RedWhite; I thoroughly recommend!

    Wow, that chamois!

The cargo bib shorts are awesome. Nothing more to say than that. I've been searching for that mythical crossroad of value and comfort, and I'm really pleased with them. 6'1" 215lbs 3XL

    Snug and comfortable

Finally, I have the pleasure of cycling in this bib for more than +50 KM, it is comfortable and fit perfectly around my butt. I don't feel butt sore anymore and I am able to enjoy my ride longer. I am 174cm tall, 85 kgs and I am wearing a 2XL. Yuva is a very responsive and patience person, he would guide me through the measurement, and I am grateful for his help, this is a bib I would recommend to my friend. Thank you

    Cargo bibs

I'm 70, and have been riding and racing for 30+ years. In the past 5+ years, I am starting to have problems with "sit bone" pain on longer rides. Never a problem in the past, even on 100 mile rides. I have tried many different brands of high end bibs. (also bike fit changes). I bought these primarily to try the chamois, and also for the cargo pockets. I can say the butt comfort is every bit as good as bibs costing twice as much. So I am very pleased. I also want to mention that the fitting guide is very important. All of my previous bibs are size L. Redwhite's fitting guide suggested XL. Fit is perfect ! Very comfortable. Take the time to do the suggested measurements. Thanks

    Cargo Bibs

After riding in a pair of regular r&w bibs last year, decided to give the cargo bibs a try. Before ordering, I had a question on the sizing since I read about the size difference between the two. Recommendation was to size up. Suggestion was spot on. At 5’7” 175, the 2xl short inseam fit perfectly. Cargo shorts are of great quality, have a great pad and fit great. First ride was a 30 miler and they felt super plush. I am all ready planning on adding another pair to add to my collection.

    Great Bibshorts!!

I am 1.78mt tall and weigh 95kg. Using size 2XL. Very comfortable Bibshorts with useful pockets to store stuff. Great service from Yuva. Thumbs up!!

I wanted another pair of Rapha cargo shorts, but didn’t want to spend another $400+ for the privilege!
I thought I would give these a go, and glad I did. They are simply excellent quality, fit and utility.
It’s obvious, R&W are very focused on their products and customer service. Highly recommended!

    Cargo Bibshorts

As an avid cyclist, I'm always on the lookout for gear that can elevate my riding experience. Recently, I had the pleasure of trying out the Cargo Bibshorts, and I must say, they've truly exceeded my expectations in every aspect.

First and foremost, let's talk about comfort. These bibshorts are a dream to wear, thanks to their premium materials and thoughtful design. The chamois pad provides excellent support and cushioning, even during long rides, ensuring that I stay comfortable mile after mile. The compression fit feels snug without being restrictive, allowing for optimal blood flow and muscle support.

One of the standout features of these bibshorts is the cargo pockets. As someone who likes to carry essential items like my phone, keys, and snacks during rides, having these strategically placed pockets is a game-changer. They're spacious enough to hold everything I need securely, eliminating the need for a bulky saddlebag or jersey pockets.

Durability is another area where these bibshorts shine. Despite putting them through rigorous rides and wash cycles, they've held up exceptionally well, showing no signs of wear and tear. The quality craftsmanship is evident in every stitch, making them a reliable companion for countless rides to come.

In terms of performance, the Cargo Bibshorts excel on all fronts. The moisture-wicking fabric keeps me cool and dry, even on hot summer days, while the breathable mesh straps ensure optimal ventilation. I appreciate the attention to detail that has gone into every aspect of their design, from the silicone leg grippers that keep them in place to the reflective accents for added visibility in low-light conditions.

Overall, I can't recommend the Cargo Bibshorts enough to fellow cyclists. Whether you're a seasoned rider or just starting out, these bibshorts are sure to enhance your riding experience with their unbeatable comfort, durability, and functionality. Trust me, once you try them, you'll wonder how you ever rode without them.

    Kudos to Yuva :)

Thank you very much for the kind and detailed review Zayden :) - Yuva
