The Cargo Bib Short (Men's) with Pockets

US$160.00
Quantity:

*This Cargo Bibshort sizing runs tighter in the hips & glutes than The BIB (Men's) because of the 4 pockets. Please check the sizing chart's glute circumference before making a purchase.

**Sizing Note : If you are a short and heavy rider, look for the shorter inseam size option. If you're tall & lean, look for the longer inseam size option. If ever in doubt, use the Sizing Helpdesk for a personalised size recommendation

***Please note that the critical dimension for sizing is the glute circumference. Weight is a loose proxy for this. Naturally, a taller person will weigh more, hence the expanded weight range for Longer Inseam bibs. Do not pick a size based solely on weight and pay attention to the glute circumference.

The Cargo Bib Short (Men's) with Pockets is based on our best-selling long-distance bibshort - The BIB (Men's). It is designed to help you ride further than ever before. 4 large pockets allow you to store large quantities of nutrition, inner tubes, tool kits, spare clothing and more. These pockets are made from a tough & stretchy nylon fabric that is snag-resistant.

A Bib Short Built for Long Distance Rides

This bib short is designed to help you crush big miles in comfort. It is made for rides of more than 5 hours and has been ridden in events such as :

  • Transcontinental Race
  • AUDAX
  • Paris-Brest-Paris
  • Race Across America
  • Pacific Coast Bicycle Race
  • Atlas Mountain Race
What can these pockets carry? :

The model in these photos is 6 foot 1 inch, 40" Hip & Glute circumference, weighs 182 lbs. He is wearing a size XL (Regular) and is carrying the following items, with room for more

  • Samsung Galaxy S9+ phone & 1 Gel with room for 2 more (thigh pocket)
  • 3 cereal bars, with room for 1 more (thigh pocket)
  • Banana & 2 inner tube (lower rear pocket)
  • Pump, Tyre Levers & 1 inner tube (upper rear pocket)
Available in 3 Inseam Lengths:

This bibshort is available in 2 inseam lengths - Regular, 2" Shorter Inseam & 2" Longer Inseam. The 2" Shorter inseam version is a Regular Length with 2" taken off the legs. The 2" Longer inseam version is a Regular Length with 2" added to the legs.

For example : A 180 lbs (81kg) rider who is 5 foot 6" with a 41 inch glute circumference would need a size 2XL. However, the size 2XL (Regular) will be too long for him. He will need the size 2XL (2" Shorter Inseam) for his 5 foot 6" height. On the other end of the spectrum, a rider who is 155 lbs and 6 foot 3 inch tall with a 35.5 inch glute. This rider will find a M (Regular) too short in the legs and will need M (+2" Longer Inseam).

Note for Returning Customers :

This bib short has been designed to retain the same fit, feel and performance as the bibshorts you've been purchasing for years from RedWhite. The only major change is the new Silicone Macro-Dot Gripper (see photos). This gripper was chosen for 2 reasons :

  1. It is more durable and doesn't overstretch with use. It stays grippy longer than the gripper used in our older bibshorts.
  2. It grips knee and leg warmers & coolers better. You can easily slip this gripper over the ends of your knee / leg coverings and have it hold those coverings better than the old grippers.

Keen eyed customers would notice the new rubber logo stitched on left thigh. This rubber logo has been ride-tested extensively. You won't notice it while riding. It is also washing-machine friendly and durable. Please note to only wash your bibshort in a cold wash cycle and never use a dryer-machine. Heat damages lycra and rubber.

    Brilliant bibs

This was my second purchase from Redwhite - I had previously bought a standard bib short.

The quality of the shorts is excellent, and they are the most comfortable that I have found for long rides.

The addition this time of cargo pockets has been really helpful on a couple of long distance events that I have ridden, although if I were to change anything, I probably wouldn't have the rear pockets as it's just too much of a faff getting into them with a jersey on. Comfort wise, Redwhite bibs are better than anything else I have found. Delivery was super rapid, and I am again, a very happy customer. Thank you 👍💥

    Superb fit and comfort

These Cargo bibs were worn for 6-7 hours on multiple days on a recent long range biketrek over very rough gravel and stood up brilliantly. The sizing was great and the pockets perfectly placed.

    Chamois superb !

Super comfy tall sized cargo bibs

I am 190cm (6'2), 73kg (165lbs), and got a size medium (recommended by the size helpdesk) and they fit perfectly. I had been looking for cargo bib shorts for tall, skinny people for my gravel rides and so far I am very happy with these. My other bib shorts are size small (and long length from Assos and Endura), so I was skeptical about ordering a size medium, but they fit great. The chamois and fit is very similar to my Endura Pro SL, and in my opinion, more comfortable than Assos. Considering the price of Assos bibs (and many other cycling brands these days), I am super happy to have found Redwhite. Good price for a great fit.

Thank you for the very kind words Vikram. I'm happy the M (+2' Longer Inseam) cargo bibs fit you well :)

Could theses bibs handle 200 miles in a day ?

I challenged myself to do chase the sun north route this year. A 200 mile ride in a day. At 61 I needed comfortable bibs. I read the reviews on here and took a punt hoping for a big improvement on my current bibs which were ok for 50 miles.
Well I can say that the bibs exceeded my expectations and I recommend these to friends.
    Perfect

Cargo Bib Shorts - multi day use

I bought these around one month ago, having used the sizing guide and message service before confirming my order. I wore them initially on single day rides up to 100k and I wanted to wait until I have completed a multi day adventure before reviewing. Having now completed a 5 day bike packing trip with these Cargo shorts I can give them the thumbs up. No sores due to the good fitting and comfortable chamois, good storage, particularly in the two leg pockets and the lower back pocket. I found the upper back pocket a little awkward to access so did not tend to use it.
I will definitely consider buying another pair

Cargo Bib Short - 500km bikepack

These were broken over a 500km off road bikepack event (multi day use), with no recurrence of saddle sores. The cargo pockets are secure and you don't feel any rubbing or pressure from the items stowed away. Very happy with the bib shorts and will be looking to buy a 2nd pair soon.

    Great for Unbound Gravel 100

Spoke via email with Yuva. Recommended sizing and I ordered cargo bibs for Unbound. I rode a couple short rides to break them in. Absolutely love the bibs!! Customer service and response outstanding! Getting ready to order more for a long distance bike trip!! Highly recommended!!

    Excellent bibs fit perfect

The cargo bib shorts are great. I followed the sizing instructions which were right on. I am 6 foot 1 inch and 200 pounds. I would normally figure size XL but following the instructions I ordered 2XL which is perfect. I also ordered the longer inseam which is excellent--often bib short inseams are shorter than I would like. The chamois is probably the best I've ever seen. Quick delivery. I would buy again. Cheers

    Bibtastic!

I’ve had 2 pairs of RedWhite Cargo bibs and I’ve just replaced a pair which were damaged in a crash, incidentally Yuva offered me a pair at 50% as a crash replacement and even replaced those when I found them to be too tight, how’s that for good customer service?!
The bibs themselves are on point, the Lycra fabric is high quality and the pockets at the rear are sturdy enough to store my tool roll, pump and some snacks or my jacket if I’m just wearing a tshirt jersey, the leg pockets are perfect for my phone and gels.
The pad is very comfortable and having just competed in the Dirty Reiver 200km Gravel race I had no issues whatsoever with soreness in 10 hours of riding.
Once I’ve worn these out I’ll be back for another pair, but seeing as they’re so well made, that might be some time!
Cheers Yuva, keep up the good work ❤️
