The Cargo Bib Short (Men's) with Pockets

US$160.00
Quantity:

*This Cargo Bibshort sizing runs tighter in the hips & glutes than The BIB (Men's) because of the 4 pockets. Please check the sizing chart's glute circumference before making a purchase.

**Sizing Note : If you are a short and heavy rider, look for the shorter inseam size option. If you're tall & lean, look for the longer inseam size option. If ever in doubt, use the Sizing Helpdesk for a personalised size recommendation

***Please note that the critical dimension for sizing is the glute circumference. Weight is a loose proxy for this. Naturally, a taller person will weigh more, hence the expanded weight range for Longer Inseam bibs. Do not pick a size based solely on weight and pay attention to the glute circumference.

The Cargo Bib Short (Men's) with Pockets is based on our best-selling long-distance bibshort - The BIB (Men's). It is designed to help you ride further than ever before. 4 large pockets allow you to store large quantities of nutrition, inner tubes, tool kits, spare clothing and more. These pockets are made from a tough & stretchy nylon fabric that is snag-resistant.

A Bib Short Built for Long Distance Rides

This bib short is designed to help you crush big miles in comfort. It is made for rides of more than 5 hours and has been ridden in events such as :

  • Transcontinental Race
  • AUDAX
  • Paris-Brest-Paris
  • Race Across America
  • Pacific Coast Bicycle Race
  • Atlas Mountain Race
What can these pockets carry? :

The model in these photos is 6 foot 1 inch, 40" Hip & Glute circumference, weighs 182 lbs. He is wearing a size XL (Regular) and is carrying the following items, with room for more

  • Samsung Galaxy S9+ phone & 1 Gel with room for 2 more (thigh pocket)
  • 3 cereal bars, with room for 1 more (thigh pocket)
  • Banana & 2 inner tube (lower rear pocket)
  • Pump, Tyre Levers & 1 inner tube (upper rear pocket)
Available in 3 Inseam Lengths:

This bibshort is available in 2 inseam lengths - Regular, 2" Shorter Inseam & 2" Longer Inseam. The 2" Shorter inseam version is a Regular Length with 2" taken off the legs. The 2" Longer inseam version is a Regular Length with 2" added to the legs.

For example : A 180 lbs (81kg) rider who is 5 foot 6" with a 41 inch glute circumference would need a size 2XL. However, the size 2XL (Regular) will be too long for him. He will need the size 2XL (2" Shorter Inseam) for his 5 foot 6" height. On the other end of the spectrum, a rider who is 155 lbs and 6 foot 3 inch tall with a 35.5 inch glute. This rider will find a M (Regular) too short in the legs and will need M (+2" Longer Inseam).

Note for Returning Customers :

This bib short has been designed to retain the same fit, feel and performance as the bibshorts you've been purchasing for years from RedWhite. The only major change is the new Silicone Macro-Dot Gripper (see photos). This gripper was chosen for 2 reasons :

  1. It is more durable and doesn't overstretch with use. It stays grippy longer than the gripper used in our older bibshorts.
  2. It grips knee and leg warmers & coolers better. You can easily slip this gripper over the ends of your knee / leg coverings and have it hold those coverings better than the old grippers.

Keen eyed customers would notice the new rubber logo stitched on left thigh. This rubber logo has been ride-tested extensively. You won't notice it while riding. It is also washing-machine friendly and durable. Please note to only wash your bibshort in a cold wash cycle and never use a dryer-machine. Heat damages lycra and rubber.

    New Favorite Bibs

I’ve tried a few bib shorts and these are the best I’ve owned so far.
The chamois is incredibly comfortable even after my longest rides, there’s no soreness or discomfort.
The fit is snug but not restrictive, and the quality of the materials is top-notch.

    The cargo pockets are great.
They hold everything I need, gels, phone, and a microfiber towel, and they stay secure with zero bounce.
It’s so freeing to not rely solely on jersey pockets.
After multiple hand washes, the bibs still look and feel like new.

If you’re want the best comfort on the bike, these are 100% worth it.
I will definitely be buying another pair when this pair wears out, which may be a while.

Great bibs with a wonderful chamois

The longest ride I did with my new RW Cargo bibs was a 300km Brevet, and they felt really fine. No saddle problems at all. The pockets are doing a good job at long rides. The quality of the shorts is really high-end and it's pretty worth the price. Just keep in mind that FedEx will charge you a few bucks for handling the tax stuff. In my case, 16.- €.
For me, it was a bit hard to find the right size, but with the really great support from Yuva it finally worked out. For your interest: With 184cm tall and 80 kg of weight (no belly :-)) the sizing chart says XL regular but I ended up with the 3XL. I was a bit shocked because I didn't see me as a 3XL guy, but this one fits perfect. Maybe this info can help someone.
I already recommended RW to some of my bikebuddys, and they are happy too.
Over all: Great job by RedWhite

Hi Arnold, really happy we got you into the right size eventually. Most riders with your height and weight wear XL in cargo bibs. That being said, most of these individuals have glute circumferences below 40.5 inches. I suspect your glutes are 42 inches+ which explains why the 3XLs are a better fit. Weight is a loose proxy for how wide you are and genetics plays a role in how wide your glutes and thighs are.

    My fourth Red White bins

Recently received my new cargo bibs. The large padding always take a little getting used to while walking around. But once on the bike there’s no looking back. I’ve used Red White on the 5500 km IPWR across Australia, a 1000 km gravel ride and am now preparing for the North Cape 4000. Have done training rides up to 230 km, again, without any saddle issues. Initially sceptical about the cargo pockets, I find them very usefull. With my 176 cm and 75 kg, the large is a perfect fit.

    Good Bibs

I've been using the RedWhite Cargo Bibshort for my long training rides, and it's quickly become my go-to gear. The comfort is outstanding—even on 6+ hour rides, the chamois holds up with zero saddle discomfort. The thigh and rear pockets are surprisingly spacious and well-placed, letting me carry snacks, tools, and my phone without needing a jersey. Fit is snug but not restrictive, with just the right amount of compression. After multiple washes and tough rides, the stitching and fabric still look and feel solid. For anyone into endurance cycling, this bib short is a solid investment.

    Super comfy and well made

I rode the Dirty Reiver with these bib shorts. Super comfy, had little under carriage pain (10 hours on a saddle so some discomfort) was inevitable. Lots of pockets to stow food and clothing which meant I didn’t need to carry a large hydration pack. Looking forward to wearing them on a 4 day bike packing adventure in the summer.

The bests bibs I've ever worn.

Really comfortable Cargo bibs and a really good sizing guide, they fit perfectly. Chamois is a little larger than others I've worn but I soon got used to them. Used on a 150km Gravel / road ride, no saddle sores and kept me comfy throughout the day. Cargo pockets are a good size and secure, I would highly recommend these! I will be buying some winter tights in future. Thanks!

    Incoming order for more...

Really pleased with the service right from first contact, through all the emails discussing sizing and to the delivery (about a week from order to receiving them in the UK). The for is absolutely spot on, have had them for almost a week, longest ride so far 80 miles and very pleased with the fit. The two rear pockets are so useful, the lower one is so easy to access, even after having the effects multiple shoulder and collarbone breaks! Leg pockets are absolutely cavernous, easily keep enough bars in there for a full day in the saddle. I was a bit sceptical about how good these really would be given all I've read is glowing reports but they are, they are as good as everyone has said, suffice to say I'll be ordering more!!!

Wonderful bibs for long gravel rides. I have tried them twice so far in 40+ miles with no problems. Comfortable, they look good, and no saddle soar afterwards.

My first cargo bib short with pockets

My first cargo bib short with pockets experience was nothing short (no pun) of excellent. I purchased longer in seam because I'm tall, skinny and long legged. Prior to this I've always had trouble finding bibs that fit me the way that I wanted. Yuva assisted me through the selection and the measurement process. Everything turned out perfect. I've had the shorts for one month now and have completed two century rides thus far without and hint of negative issues. it was great to be able to slip my cell phone credit card and identifaction in the pocket.
I unequivocally endorse this product and will be seeking out RW apparrel for future purchases. Thank you for helping me Yuva.

    Best cargo knicks

I’m on my second pair of Cargo Knicks from RW. Love them, so don’t wanna be without while washing one pair. So good for long distance riding
